Gatorade names Arizona Player of the Year
AVA 18 Mizuno's Stephanie Preach received the 2009-2010 Gatorade Arizona Volleyball Player of the Year Award this week. Preach, who has signed with Arizona State, is a two-time winner of the award. She was also named The Republic's 4A-5A Player of the Year for the second straight season and has been on the All-Arizona team three straight seasons. As one coach put it, "I really don't see how it could be anyone else." Preach led Xavier Prep to a 39-6 record and its third-straight Class 5A Division I championship.

AVA 18 Mizuno's Stephanie Preach has commited to Arizona State University. She will join former XCP and AVA 18 Mizuno teammate, Alexis Pinson, in the fall of 2010. Way to go Steph and Go DEVILS!
